Northern Michigan is full of beautiful sites, great hotels, fabulous shopping, and delicious dining…I could go on and on. I hands down LOVE going up north––there are so many places to go, which makes it hard to choose just a handful to visit in one long weekend! This two-part blog post will dig into some of my favorite spots up north, but for now…a little on what I packed for a road trip to Northern Michigan. Ahhh! I just love saying those words.

If you’ve read my “Packing Made Perfect” from several posts back you know I have a few guidelines that I stick to when packing. (It’s definitely a post worth looking at.) I try to stick to transitional pieces that I can dress up and down. I also select a color scheme that works well together. For this northern Michigan trip I went with black, white, browns, and some shades of green.

This dress! I’m in love. It’s great for dressing up or down which is exactly why I packed it. I wear it with flats or heels. If the nights are chilly I throw a denim jacket or simple sweater over it.

See those green Moto Jeggins? They’re the perfect travel pants––elastic waist and adorable details on the knee and hem. They come in a couple different colors and the price is so. good. Oh and those shoes ^^^…walk a million miles and they’re great. Love ’em.
